Vote For Your Favorite SciFi & Fantasy Books

Gollancz50.com is running a poll/contest where you vote for your favorite SciFi book and your favorite fantasy book from two lists of twenty five books.  Gene Wolfe's, "The Book of the New Sun" is listed under the Fantasy poll.  The top 5 titles will be reprinted in a special collector's edition set, and by voting you enter yourself in a drawing to win all of the reissued books.  Thanks to Derek for pointing this out to me!

A little beat up but not one of these hardbacks was over a dollar.

Locus Magazine - March Issue

This month's issue of Locus Magazine is sporting Gene Wolfe on the cover.  I haven't read it yet but his interview is called "Engineering The Future" so my guess is that it's about science fiction technology becoming reality.

Sketchblog With New Sun Character Studies

I happened upon the blog of an artist who rendered some memorable characters from the Book of the New Sun.  I always enjoy seeing art inspired by these books.  It's such a creative and visually appealing world.

Science Fiction Is A German Shepherd

A good pal of mine pointed me to a great Gene Wolfe interview done by Josh Wimmer for io9.com.  Gene talks about his new book "Home Fires" and the magic behind writing "near future" science fiction stories.  I have to say it's one of the best interviews I've seen with Wolfe and really has me excited about reading his new book.

Home Fires Day

"Home Fires" is released today!  Also, a new Decemberists album and larger iced coffees at Starbucks!  A rather good day all around for new stuff in my opinion.
